I try to get comments published as quickly as possible. I have ADHD and anxiety and sometimes I need to work myself up to be able to respond to comments. I don't always reply to comments on my blog, but I do try to visit as many people as possible when I participate in blog hops. I share your work on the monthly Roost Recommendations posts at ornerybookemporium.blogspot.com so others can discover your work. I do read and appreciate your comments.
Sorry, the Captcha is back and this time it's staying. I was inundated with spam comments when I turned it off. I wish butt rash on all the spammers out there.

That must be quite a shock, having yourself asking you if you need help!
ReplyDeleteI think Ipatiy was much nicer to Rhodie than I would have been to my own doppelganger. I'd probably have asked mine if she'd managed to entirely screw up her life too.
DeleteOutstanding snippet. I almost jumped in to help.
ReplyDeleteThank you! :-)
DeleteWhy is it when they say "Don't be afraid," part of me screams, "Be very afraid!" Hoping this isn't the case for poor Rhoadie (who is surprising not weirded out by her cyborg self.)
ReplyDeleteRhodie is a 100-year-old vampire who hangs around with aliens and elementals. Very little surprises her!
DeleteI agree that whenever anyone says "don't be afraid" or "I've got this," I recall my late father's admonition:
"famous last words!"
Fascinating world-building, and the premise is intriguing! And I totally agree with Nancy about the part that screams, "Be very afraid!" :-)
ReplyDeleteIndeed! Rhodie is a 100-year-old vampire who hangs around with aliens, so not much surprises her, but this did.
DeleteWhat strange development to see yourself staring back, but it has me curious to know more.
ReplyDeleteThank you. :-)
