With the sounds of the base exploding behind them, Leah, Lleu, Dale, Marc, Miro, and Robert tumbled through a wormhole and landed gracelessly in a pile of leaves beneath a cluster of deciduous trees. As they looked up at the pristine black sky to behold a glorious full moon surrounded by a myriad of stars glimmering like jewels, an unearthly howling caused the hair to stand up on the backs of their necks.
“Leah, was that a normal wolf, or was it a werewolf?” Marc inquired. “Because this place and that moon scream ‘werewolf’ to me.”
“Could be a werewolf, but why is it a worry to you, Child?” the vermillion-haired Voodoo priestess inquired, patting Marc’s cheek. “You have ingested the blood of a vampire. Should a werewolf attack and eviscerate you at this time, you would become a hybrid. Such an exciting possibility!”

Notes:
This is a snippet from Naughty Netherworld Press' latest WIP, Carnal Invasion XVI: Castle Necros, which is slated to be our big Halloween Release this year.
When the dormant volcano which Base Lust-69 was housed in violently awakened and erupted at the end of Carnal Invasion XII: Paraji's Prisoners, the occupants of the base were thrown through various wormholes. Voodoo Queen Leah La Sirene, thirteenth-century vampire Lleu Redgrave, Alien and Supernatural Search Squadron agents Dale Dicking and Marc Cumming, and newly-turned vampires Miroslav Korošec and Robert Cody found themselves in a thick wood near a quite possibly haunted dark tower. What dangers and temptations await our intrepid adventurers in Castle Necros?

I try to get comments published as quickly as possible. I have ADHD and anxiety and sometimes I need to work myself up to be able to respond to comments. I don't always reply to comments on my blog, but I do try to visit as many people as possible when I participate in blog hops. I share your work on the monthly Roost Recommendations posts at ornerybookemporium.blogspot.com so others can discover your work. I do read and appreciate your comments.
Sorry, the Captcha is back and this time it's staying. I was inundated with spam comments when I turned it off. I wish butt rash on all the spammers out there.
