Candi knew hot things happened behind closed doors at the Pearl Beach Resort. After all, the place was owned by bisexual billionaire playboy Boris van Donk, who had a reputation for taking on all comers.

Candi's family of origin was strictly religious, and she has never given or received more than a chaste kiss in her 21 years. Between bad-boy Boris and her geeky, fun-loving, porn-writing housemates, an awakening of her desires is inevitable.

Snippet

I will share snippets from The Shape of Heat: Awakening for the rest of October. Today's snippet picks up with more info about Parsifal and introduces Luisa. Here's the link to the previous snippet.

Hart had mostly been joking, but Parsifal’s interest was piqued. Parsifal’s parents and Hart accompanied him on his first journey to Moonlight Island to ensure that the school was legitimate. The family was suitably impressed with what their research revealed and thoroughly enchanted by the school’s charming president. Parsifal was on his way to earning a bachelor's degree in Hospitality with guaranteed employment assistance following graduation.

Twenty-five-year-old Luisa Dreier was just five feet tall, but the sturdy Latina had a powerful build and held a first-degree black belt in Krav Maga, which she had been practicing since she was just six years old. Although she was proud of her martial arts prowess, Luisa realized that potential partners often found her intimidating.

Notes

I am sorry about being a bad blog hop participant in the last round. I got involved with the WEP Challenge, and my son and I had to go to the doctor on Monday. Just routine exams and a flu shot, but the 250-mile round trip is fun--not. (For those who don't already know, we live in the middle of nowhere.) Also, I'm building a website. More about that once I publish it.

Here is my WEP piece if you'd like to read it.

https://crazycreativescheerleadingcamp.blogspot.com/2022/10/wep-challenge-october-2022-thriller.html

It's nonfiction and covers subjects like mental health, trauma including sexual assault, eating disorders, self-esteem (or massive lack thereof), and substance use. So, fair warning, it ain't pretty.

By the way, is there any way to make the whole newsletter thing suck less ass? Of every aspect of the whole self-promotion mess, that part is the worst. Asking for a friend, of course. Me, I just love newsletters, and I'm obviously great at them since I can't seem to get over 6 subscribers.

Can we make it seven? Subscribe to Naughty Netherworld News here!

Currently, the newsletter comes out monthly-ish and for rare special announcements. So, it's not like I'll be inundating your inbox or anything.

  1. This sounds like a gathering of a group destined to make some kind of mark at that school. Intreiguing beginning to the story! Tweeted.

  2. My daughter has her black belt and when she was dating - it did tend to intimidate some guys - but it made me feel safer for her. Tweeted. Oh and wow - a 250 mile round trip to get a flu shot. WOW!

I try to get comments published as quickly as possible. I have ADHD and anxiety and sometimes I need to work myself up to be able to respond to comments. I don't always reply to comments on my blog, but I do try to visit as many people as possible when I participate in blog hops. I share your work on the monthly Roost Recommendations posts at ornerybookemporium.blogspot.com so others can discover your work. I do read and appreciate your comments.
Sorry, the Captcha is back and this time it's staying. I was inundated with spam comments when I turned it off. I wish butt rash on all the spammers out there.
