The Quest for the Wizard's Key is the second book in a series of New Cthulhu Mythos tales. This fix-up novel features a fascinating cast of outcasts joining in a quest to save the Cosmos from destruction by malevolent forces. Join them on their madcap journey.

Are you tired of the same old formulaic romance dance?

Are you sick of slap-dash slashers and predictable plot rehashers?

Are you at the end of your rope with sparkly vampires and sexy werewolves?

Have you had it up to here with silly space operas where the otherworldly setting is just a veneer for the randy crew to make out with aliens?

Is it time to drop the buddy cops and stop watching the detectives?

My friend, let the New Weird Tales refresh you!

You’ve tried the rest, now it’s time for the best. Welcome to an adventure like no other!

Snippet

The Yithian was accompanied by a diaphanous human male in early adulthood with long, light blond hair and a pallor striking even for a ghost. Beside this phantom strode two monstrous humanoids with rubbery gray-green skin and vaguely canine features. One was a small, wiry fellow with large, yellow-gray eyes. The other was a burly chap who radiated a quiet intensity.

The four odd fellows bowed before the serpent king, who descended from his throne and bowed to them. He was a majestic sight, standing just over three meters in height. The diamond-shaped pupils of his golden eyes dilated and contracted, and his forked tongue flicked the air as he surveyed his visitors. He opened his mouth, revealing great curved fangs.

“Blimey, I’d not like to be the recipient of his wrath,” the portly ghoul whispered to his companion. “Skewer a bloke like a kabob on them choppers, he could.”

Notes

This fix-up novel follows the events that transpired in Ketil and Yitzy’s Adventures in the Xura Dream House. The book can be read as a standalone, but for a better understanding of the characters and events, it is suggested that Ketil and Yitzy’s Adventure in the Xura Dream House should be read first. It is a fun, fast-paced buddy story. Grab your copy here!

Once you have read Ketil and Yitzy’s Adventure, you will be In the Know so you can be In with the In Crowd! Then you can join us at the Kewl Eldritch Horrors table.

I am currently doing final edits and managing the book's details on Amazon. A pre-order link should be available soon.

  4. Great descriptions. That last paragraph made me chuckle, esp. the part about skewering.

I try to get comments published as quickly as possible. I have ADHD and anxiety and sometimes I need to work myself up to be able to respond to comments. I don't always reply to comments on my blog, but I do try to visit as many people as possible when I participate in blog hops. I share your work on the monthly Roost Recommendations posts at ornerybookemporium.blogspot.com so others can discover your work. I do read and appreciate your comments.
Sorry, the Captcha is back and this time it's staying. I was inundated with spam comments when I turned it off. I wish butt rash on all the spammers out there.
