“An altar in the Hall of Nyarlathotep—but of course! Who would not be quite curious to follow a portal in a blasted Hall of Nyarlathotep Worship?”

“I think that this portal may lead back to your world via the Dreamlands, Ketil,” the creature stated calmly. “From my understanding of the sigils surrounding the gate, this passage terminates in Xura. I have never been to Xura, but I have heard rumors of a most interesting house which is said to be a focal point in this realm.”

“Oh, but of course. The House of Great Fuckery,” the man expounded. “And who in their right mind would not wish to go through the House of Great Fuckery?”

Notes:

Ketil Nagel is the spirit of a Scandinavian metal musician who sacrificed himself to the Outer Gods of Cthulhu Mythos infamy.

While exploring a long-dead world in hopes of assisting a friend who is in deep trouble with the powerful and malevolent Yadira Root, Nyarlathotep's high priestess and daughter, Ketil met a  renegade member of the Great Race of Yith who was studying the planet. The benevolent creature had been ostracized by others of its kind and did not have a name. Ketil gave his new friend the name Yitzy, which pleased the extraterrestrial giant.

The Cthulhu Mythos, Earth's Dreamlands, Nyarlathotep, the Outer Gods, Xura, and the Great Race of Yith are the creations of H.P. Lovecraft.

The Xura House of Lost Dreams appears in the Chaosium Call of Cthulhu Dreamlands Role-Playing supplement.

Ketil, Yitzy, and Yadira Root are original characters created by Team Netherworld.

  2. Hum does he mean it literally or is it all sarcasm? It's a bit hard to tell. It sounds fun though.

    1. Ketil is kind of hard to "read," so to speak. He's extremely sarcastic. Nyarlathotep is not a deity well to mess with, and Ketil has had a few run-ins with him.

  3. You've definitely made me curious about this Hall.

I try to get comments published as quickly as possible. I have ADHD and anxiety and sometimes I need to work myself up to be able to respond to comments. I don't always reply to comments on my blog, but I do try to visit as many people as possible when I participate in blog hops. I share your work on the monthly Roost Recommendations posts at ornerybookemporium.blogspot.com so others can discover your work. I do read and appreciate your comments.
Sorry, the Captcha is back and this time it's staying. I was inundated with spam comments when I turned it off. I wish butt rash on all the spammers out there.
