More information about Cloned Heat will be available on Saturday, and the book will be free from Saturday until January 20. Cloned Heat is a new series of m/m erotic shorts.

I am planning to switch the focus away from the Carnal Invasion series to Cloned Heat. The Carnal Invasion series was my first attempt at writing erotica professionally and I want to clean the stories up a bit before continuing to promote them. In their current state, they're a bit haphazard. I honestly don't know when or if the big overhaul is going to happen. Cloned Heat is my project for this year.

I am trying a new tactic in my ongoing blog hop battle. I am going to publish the post for The Big Four (plus Rainbow Snippets) on Saturday. Then I will make visits over the course of the week and share as many posts as I can. I am going to concentrate on Twitter shares because that's where I have the biggest audience. I'm @ReadersRoost on Twitter if you want to follow me.

With the Tales from the Dreamlands series, I need to be true to myself and let the stories be as weird, quirky, and personally meaningful as they want to be. If nobody else gets it, so be it. I'm not going for sales with this one, I'm going for personal expression. I think that's the only way it can be truly authentic. I do find it ironic that the work I'm most invested in is the work that's least likely to sell.

I'm intending to participate in the WEP events this year and will participate in blog hops such as those featured at Mindlovemisery's Menagerie where possible. I will also continue to write and publish poetry. I'm currently working on formatting my third poetry volume, December Mood. I'd like to do a little more with my photography. Curse this planet with its too-short twenty-four-hour days! I may need to move to Saturn.

The Rough Writer Digest is a bone of contention. I think I'll rebrand it as a sporadic digest rather than a weekly digest. For instance, this week I don't feel that I have enough material to justify creating a digest. The blasted thing takes a lot of time to format, or at least the first one did.

I know a lot of people swear by newsletters, but I don't like them. I'm not entirely sure how effective they are. I have subscriptions to numerous newsletters, and I never open them. I just don't have time. I think I'll continue with the Rough Writer idea for a little longer.

I've made other adjustments on a personal level. My son and I have gone semi-vegetarian. We're not entirely meatless, but we're eating a lot less meat. I've been baking all of our bread and am looking to start doing homemade with things like barbecue sauce and baked beans to keep costs down. I've been making my own Bisquick mix and brown sugar for a while now, and it saves a lot of money.

I've cut down on doing personal posts because a) I don't have time and b) I really don't think anyone gives a crap. I've developed the opinion that people really don't need to know everything about me. I used to feel like I had to apologize for being weird. At this point, weird is what I am and I don't apologize. If people don't like it, tough shit. I'm entirely out of fucks to give.

Any-hey, now that I've finished eating my salami sandwich and sneezing my brains out, I may try going back to sleep. We got two huge packages of salami from the food bank last month, and they went a long way. This is one of the reasons why being entirely vegetarian isn't yet possible and, if I'm honest, it probably will never happen. Vegan will definitely never happen. I like cheese way too much for that to be a possibility. But we're trying to go further in the meatless direction.

That's about all for now. Until whenever I do this again, I wish whoever might be reading this mess well.

I try to get comments published as quickly as possible. I have ADHD and anxiety and sometimes I need to work myself up to be able to respond to comments. I don't always reply to comments on my blog, but I do try to visit as many people as possible when I participate in blog hops. I share your work on the monthly Roost Recommendations posts at ornerybookemporium.blogspot.com so others can discover your work. I do read and appreciate your comments.
Sorry, the Captcha is back and this time it's staying. I was inundated with spam comments when I turned it off. I wish butt rash on all the spammers out there.
