No WEP

I will not be participating in the WEP challenge this time.

If anyone who is participating stops by here, I hope you enjoy this round.

The good news is, now nobody will have to worry about the fact that I'm not Charlotte.

I could change my handle from Ornery Owl to avoid confusion, although I thought the part about "from Naughty Netherworld Press and Reader's Roost" already made the clarification.

However, I like the Ornery Owl handle, and somehow I think "bitter old hag whose resting bitch face never rests" seems a bit confrontational.

Therefore, I remain ornery and not Charlotte, even if I'm not actually an owl.

    I am sorry that you won't be participating - but completely understand. It is close to a year since I have.

      I wrote something but I felt it was a bit too controversial to enter it in the competition. Also, people kind of trashed my last piece. I liked the piece when I finished it but when they got through with it I kind of hated it.
      The core group at the WEP is good but some of the people who participate--not my cup of tea. It seems like when they see that one person has said something negative about a piece they just jump on the bandwagon and keep the ball rolling. I don't like feeling like a wounded minnow tossed in with hungry sharks.

I try to get comments published as quickly as possible. I have ADHD and anxiety and sometimes I need to work myself up to be able to respond to comments. I don't always reply to comments on my blog, but I do try to visit as many people as possible when I participate in blog hops. I share your work on the monthly Roost Recommendations posts at ornerybookemporium.blogspot.com so others can discover your work. I do read and appreciate your comments.
