A Consuming Need: MFRW Book Hooks 7 October 2020

The Blurb

Geeky Gandy Stafford's lifelong fantasy comes true when he meets the otherworldly Dorma and Desyra. These last remnants of a botched extraterrestrial invasion discover that they require a great deal of energy to maintain their human forms.

The easiest way to obtain essential power?

Sex, and lots of it.

The Snippet

(Last week Gandy took Dorma and Desyra back to his townhouse.)

“Oh. Hey! I thought you said you weren’t going to eat me!”

“We do not consume other beings,” said Desyra, her monotone expression fluctuating to indicate irritation.

“Oh. Well, that’s good. Sorry if I insulted you. I’ve, you know, I’ve never met an alien before. I’ve imagined this, like, billions and billions of times, but I never thought it would actually happen. It’s not like it’s really something you can prepare for, being invaded, you know. I mean, I always hoped that aliens existed, but I guess I never really thought they did, you know what I mean?”

An LBC is a form of cryptocurrency. Over the past year, it has consistently been worth approximately $0.03.

LBRY is a decentralized content marketplace. I price the PDF versions of my work at approximately half of the Kindle price because I receive the entire amount rather than a royalty percentage.

You can get a free LBRY account through this link. You can earn LBC for viewing content on LBRY as well as from selling your content.

I want to apologize to everyone for not commenting on any posts last week. Everything sort of blew up at once. I always endeavor to comment on and share as many posts as I can. There are some of you whose blogs I, unfortunately, have been unable to ever comment on, including Nomad Press, Tena Stetler, and Sierra Brave. I do share your posts where possible.

  1. I am loving these snippets. Thank you.

  2. Great dialogue -the rambling of it - probably pretty much what I would sound like if I met an alien.

  3. He makes me laugh. Makes you wonder what our "visitors" think of us if he's their model. Very cute!

I try to get comments published as quickly as possible. I have ADHD and anxiety and sometimes I need to work myself up to be able to respond to comments. I don't always reply to comments on my blog, but I do try to visit as many people as possible when I participate in blog hops. I share your work on the monthly Roost Recommendations posts at ornerybookemporium.blogspot.com so others can discover your work. I do read and appreciate your comments.
Sorry, the Captcha is back and this time it's staying. I was inundated with spam comments when I turned it off. I wish butt rash on all the spammers out there.
