James' YouTube channel, Zowie J's Good Stuff, was devoted to playing pranks and hawking his products. His gray t-shirt with the disco dancing dinosaur was part of that merchandise line, as evidenced by the Zowie J logo with its chunky letters and the rainbow-hued shooting star underlining it.

“Could this room get any grosser?” James groaned, pointing his phone camera at the water-stained white walls of the waiting room where he sat on a dilapidated Russian violet couch. “Also, like, what décor scheme were they aiming for in this dump? The walls say ‘institution,’ but this disgusting old sofa says, ‘Old West Whorehouse.’ The table with granola bars, beef jerky, and sports drinks is kind of avocado green; I feel like the 70s barfed all over me, but I don’t know if it’s the 1870s or the 1970s.”

About the Author:

C. L. Hart, the owner and sole employee of Naughty Netherworld Press, is spoken of in hushed tones. She is described as The Mad Scribe of the Northeastern Colorado Plains, The Terrible Old Woman, and The Author That Should Not Be.

When not penning sanity-destroying works of dystopian fiction, Lovecraftian fantasy, or old-school horror with the occasional sweet romance thrown in to upset the cosmic apple cart, Ms. Hart enjoys creating baked goods she hopes will be considered palatable.

Ms. Hart shares a home in a remote rural town of 134 souls with her adult son and three cats. Her sense of fashion is best described as Early Twenty-First Century Unmade Bed. This disabled former nurse can usually be found arguing with herself about subplots or rehabilitating eldritch horrors.

Krampus has arrived to wish everyone a Krampy Krissmas.
I swear, I didn't invite him. He must have smelled the apple pie I baked for yesterday's dinner and invited himself in for a slice.

I try to get comments published as quickly as possible. I have ADHD and anxiety and sometimes I need to work myself up to be able to respond to comments. I don't always reply to comments on my blog, but I do try to visit as many people as possible when I participate in blog hops. I share your work on the monthly Roost Recommendations posts at ornerybookemporium.blogspot.com so others can discover your work. I do read and appreciate your comments.
Sorry, the Captcha is back and this time it's staying. I was inundated with spam comments when I turned it off. I wish butt rash on all the spammers out there.
