Weekend Writing Warriors 14 April 2019 (ER, LGBT, PA, RO)

As Robert looked on in awe, a tall, muscular man with a ruddy complexion and hair the color of autumn wheat strode onto the stage wearing a letter jacket and tight jeans. Sonny Walton had the Captain of the Football Team air down to a T.
Robert blushed fiercely. Sonny Walton looked like an older version of Miroslav Korošec, the Slovenian exchange student who had come onto the scene in Robert’s junior year of high school and taken the campus by storm. All the girls wanted to be with Miro, and all the guys wanted to be Miro. From his current vantage point, Robert suspected that no few of the guys had wanted to be with Miro as well.
Despite his instant popularity, Miro was a sweet-natured fellow and completely level-headed. Although he never played football, the favored American pastime, he excelled at other sports. He swam, played baseball, soccer, and tennis, and found a junior recreational hockey league to join as well.

  1. Sigh! Quite the description! I think poor Robert is a gonner already (me, too, btw!)!

  2. Until our current first lady, I had only a vague sense of where Slovenia is. My geography-major son was disappointed in me.

    1. I honestly had no idea that Slovenia even existed before learning of Melania's existence, so you're one better than I am!

I try to get comments published as quickly as possible. I have ADHD and anxiety and sometimes I need to work myself up to be able to respond to comments. I don't always reply to comments on my blog, but I do try to visit as many people as possible when I participate in blog hops. I share your work on the monthly Roost Recommendations posts at ornerybookemporium.blogspot.com so others can discover your work. I do read and appreciate your comments.
Sorry, the Captcha is back and this time it's staying. I was inundated with spam comments when I turned it off. I wish butt rash on all the spammers out there.
